Joshua Cooper

Joshua's passion for Olympic travel began when his father took him to the 1996 Atlanta Games, where he bought his first meaningful souvenir—a hand-carved wooden torch from a local artisan. After studying photojournalism and working briefly for a sports magazine, he struck out on his own to document forgotten Olympic venues and the communities around them. Now he travels with his camera and his young daughter occasionally joining him, teaching her about cultural appreciation through the stories behind the souvenirs they collect together.
